Description
Several years before the web, websites and social networks existed, the Cuppertino company had created Apple Link, a dedicated bulletin board service that allows users to communicate with each other. This service, initially reserved for members of the Apple company, had gradually extended to users of the brand. The AUGC group (for Apple User Group Connection) was created in 1985 and headed by Ellen Leanse who was an employee of Apple. This group of users allowed Apple to communicate directly with its users which was naturally beneficial for the company.
This lapel pin for Apple user group connection promotion is very rare, its value is also a testament to Apple Computer’s history of communication with Mac users.
