Description
A lovely tiny rare Apple LaserWriter II brooch pin, Garamond style.
Here is a very rare brooch made by Decat, the famous French studio based in Paris, who has already produce one of the most beautiful lapel pin ever for Apple France, such as Apple cloisonné enamel lapel pin. This brooch was made for the launch of the LaserWriter II printer in 1988.
This cloisonné enamel brooch pin represents on the left the Apple rainbow, logo of the Apple Computer company, followed by the name LaserWriter II, gold lettering on a white background. The name LaserWriter II uses the Apple Garamond font which was the standard font of Apple in the late 80’s.
About LaserWriter II printer :
In 1988, to address the need for both an affordable printer and a professional printer, the LaserWriter II was designed to allow for complete replacement of the computer circuit board that operates the printer. Across all the different models, the print engine was the same.
Three years later in 1991, two updated versions of the LaserWriter II were produced (Laserwriter IIf, LaserWriter IIg).
