Description
Jazz Lotus software, a true part of the history of the Mac
The Jazz Lotus software is part of the history of the Apple Macintosh computer. This software suite was created by Lotus for the Macintosh 512K. It included a word processor, a spreadsheet and a database. Apple and especially Steve Jobs thought that the development of the Macintosh went through software like Jazz. They were hoping to get the same success with Jazz as IBM had with the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet. The slogan imagined by Lotus for Jazz said a lot about its ambitions. “The Macintosh software was invented for.” But Jazz did not have the hoped-for success. A high-performance competitor took the leadership. It was called Excel by Microsoft.
The Jazz lapel pin is a witness of this vintage time. It is very old and dates from the period between 1985 and 1988. It represents the word Jazz with significant lettering which was also the logo of the software. This lapel pin is very rare.
