Golden base Apple computer lapel pin by Decat Paris
This lapel pin is more than a lapel pin. It’s a myth, a legend. It was made for Apple France in the 80s by the famous Maison Decat, specialized in the achievement of military and prestige medals. The golden base lapel pin was usually worn by Apple’s staff members and offered to resellers, developers and the best customers.
There are several variants of the Apple rainbow lapel pins made by Decat Paris. The golden base, which we propose here, is the most prestigious. The silver base lapel pin, also in cloisonné hard enamel. Decat Paris also produced a gold-plated, silkscreened, low-cost quality pin, but it was fragile and the film tended to deteriorate. The epoxy version of the general public was then made by Asian companies, with much lower levels of quality.
